Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Maksutovic.
Samantha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my beauty Journey 9 years ago. I was working for Wells Fargo and graduated from SDSU. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. But I did want to explore the fun side, beauty. I applied for Sephora and got a part time job as a receptinst for a waxing studio. Little did i know a year later i would be going to beauty school and becoming an esthetican. I worked for someone for about 5 years. Doing Waxing, Lashes, Facials, and Brows. After my dad past I wanted to branch off on my own. My business name is name after my Dads home town Niš Located in Serbia.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been the smoothest road. We have had some bumps and turns along the way. It is also nerve-wracking when your books are not filled, and you start to get creative on how to make it through the week, as well as take care of the staff. Managing my time between my books and making sure my staff is doing okay in their work is a big juggle.
We’ve been impressed with Niš Beauty , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Niš Beauty Studio, we offer a variety of services and specialize in lash extensions, customized facials, brows, and Brazilian waxing.
We are a small, woman-owned studio dedicated to helping women feel beautiful in their own skin. We don’t believe in changing your features—we believe in enhancing your natural beauty.
Our team is committed to ongoing education because skin is constantly evolving, and so are the best treatment methods. We aren’t a trend-focused studio. Instead, we focus on delivering real, lasting results through a holistic approach to skincare.
The skincare lines we carry are carefully selected because they are unique, effective, and allow us to customize treatments for each client’s individual needs.
What I’m most proud of is my team. We are consistent, reliable, professional, and genuinely passionate about the care we provide. Our studio welcomes everyone, and we take immense pride in every service we offer. Each treatment is thoughtfully tailored to meet our clients’ goals while providing an exceptional experience from start to finish.
What makes you happy?
A lot of things make me happy—haha! Such a tricky question. Coffee, my family, my business, shopping… the list goes on.
But if we’re talking about my business, what makes me happiest is that I’ve been able to run Niš Beauty Studio for the past four years alongside an incredible team. Having loyal clients who trust us and come back month after month is such a blessing.
I wouldn’t have Niš Beauty without my team and our amazing clients, and I’m so proud of what we’ve built together. The joy I get every day from connecting with people, talking about life, work, struggles, and hardships, while helping them feel confident in their own skin, is incredibly rewarding. I truly love what I do.
