Community Highlights: Meet Samuel Garcia of Escape To Valle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samuel Garcia.

Samuel Garcia

Hi Samuel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I came to live in Ensenada and started working in the wine industry since 2016. I fell in love with the region of Valle de Guadalupe and built a sommelier career as my passion for wine grew until the point, I saw the need of an in-depth wine touring company that could show all the tourists the virtues of this amazing wine region in Baja California, and that’s how I created Escape To Valle. Our goal is to create an unforgettable experience through the knowledge of every tour guide that drives you along the most important wine region in Mexico

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There’s been a couple of delays! But I would say the most challenging aspect of creating this touring company was finding the right people: I wanted to have drivers that could show a deep understanding of the region’s wine, history, and secrets. I needed professionals in the topic that also wanted to share their passion with our guests and make them feel like it’s their region also. I’m finally confident that my team is the perfect fit to show everybody what we’re made of!

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Escape To Valle?
We are a touring company which provides private shuttles to the wine region of Valle de Guadalupe made by sommeliers and wine connoisseurs who have been working in different areas of the wine industry. We want to stand out as a company specialized in oenological experiences customized for any client that trusts in our expertise. We are not just drivers; we’re also the guide for you to deeply know the region and the people that conform it. The shuttles we provide range from pickups up to the city of Los Angeles and the San Diego area. We provide safe border crossing and count with tourism license plates and federal driving license which are required by Mexican law, so there’s no chance on having a hard time with us. Small or big parties, you name it: we can drive up to 18 people at the same time.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I would define it as being calm besides the rush of our everyday plans. That calm lets you take a look back at your everyday efforts and realize why you should be happy to be where you’re actually standing. Just then, you smile on the inside!
