Community Highlights: Meet Whitney LaMonda of Thread Vision

Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney LaMonda.

Whitney LaMonda

Whitney, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Thread Vision was born to give content creators and emerging brands access to fully customized and truly elevated apparel and accessories. The preparation really began at the beginning of my career when I started learning the ins and outs of corporate fashion world! Seventeen years ago, I started putting sequins on your behind at Juicy Couture LOL, I continued on at O’neill surf and more recently BB Dakota and Steve Madden. I loved the journey of bringing an idea from concept to market and everything that went into the behind-the-scenes of making that product become real. When my corporate world was being moved across the country, I decided it was time to use my skill set and create a place where anyone could bring a vision to life! That is how Thread Vision was born… after two years we have grown into an industry leader by creating products that don’t exist and launching brands for creators who don’t have the time and expertise to do so themselves!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a business is never easy, but the proof of concept was immediate! We were met with an overwhelmingly positive reaction to the services we offer, which gave us the motivation and drive to push through any roadblocks that we hit. Every day is still about learning, refining, and improving our processes so that we can successfully scale and help more and more clients generate revenue through another more personal stream of income.

We’ve been impressed with Thread Vision, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Thread Vision is curating elevated products and unique brands for content creators and emerging labels. We use our time and expertise to take all the work of designing, sampling, and launching a brand off our client’s plates so they can be the CMO of their lines and focus on creating engaging content. Every item we produce is created from scratch, which gives us the opportunity to customize products in a more unique and elevated way!

We offer a variety of products in our one-stop-shop and love to connect with anyone interested in creating their brands!

We are so proud to have just launched RESET by bachelorette Serena Pitt, a collection of travel accessories to keep you organized and looking cute as you hit the high skies.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
A favorite childhood memory comes from when I was about 10 years old, and my cousin and I would sneak into our grandmother’s closet…we would borrow all her beautiful vintage scarves and create entire wardrobes wearing nothing but scarves-skirts, tops, shawls, and headpieces in big, bright, bold, prints! Then we would walk around town like we owned the place LOL

I grew up loving to make jewelry, going to the bead store was the highlight of any day! My first job out of college was actually making pieces for a local designer, and that is how I originally got into the fashion industry!
