Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Henry.
Amanda, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Triple Peak Media started with just myself and a computer in 2010. After taking an HTML course in college, I created a website for my final exam, and after launching that website, I became so intrigued with selling online through websites. I saw the potential of what technology could do for businesses, and I started working with companies to create websites and launch social media profiles. After moving to San Diego in 2014, I focused all of my energy on thesdlifestyle.com my personal blog about San Diego, and over time the media business grew quite a bit with the amount of businesses reaching out to have similar content to what I was posting on my blog. I started showing other business owners my process, and working with them on their branding strategy, which has morphed Triple Peak Media into what it is today
Has it been a smooth road?
Struggles are a part of business, and with my business, I like to think of them as challenges. The first few years that Triple Peak Media was a business, the biggest struggle was learning. Especially as a young woman, it was difficult for people to trust my knowledge, when I really didn’t have too much experience yet. I had to learn that it is all a part of the journey, and although I don’t know everything, I am building a powerful team of marketers who can help business owners share their message with the world. Almost every month, I have a new potential client that decides not to work with my company because of budget, strategy, whatever it is. It does not affect my business because I have other leads and I work hard to produce great content at a good price. If I get rejected a few times it doesn’t matter, because the biggest strength is in the reach, the attempt at trying. I am in a better place with amazing opportunities because I have lost the fear of going after new business. I think many new entrepreneurs hold onto this fear for far too long, and once you let go and realize that business is about providing value, that is when the struggles will turn into fun challenges.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Triple Peak Media story. Tell us more about the business.
At Triple Peak Media, we focus on video marketing strategies. Unlike other videographers, after we produce a high-quality video, we work with the business to create blog stories, social media posts and email campaigns from that same video content. We take one video and spread it over the web to get the maximum reach it can possibly get. Every audience is different these days, and each social media platform has its own way of showcasing content in various ways. It is exciting to me to get to work with clients from businesses all across the board, from corporate to lifestyle brands, and craft messages and create videos that their audiences can connect with. Our main video marketing package includes a longer video, shorter clips edited, blogs written, and social media posts created.

My favorite business book is PLAN COMMIT WIN: 90 Days to Creating a Fundable Startup, written by my husband Patrick Henry, who has raised millions of dollars for his companies and created such a clear strategy to building a successful business! Each chapter has amazing takeaways that every business owner will find useful, you don’t have to be raising money for your company to go through the process outlined in the book. Other than that, I journal a lot, and look back on what worked and what didn’t and adjust that way! I also love Stephenie Zamora as far as life coaching goes, she sends out daily life tips via email that are perfect for the heart and soul!
