Today we’d like to introduce you to Corissa Dailey.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Corissa. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started out in banking as a teen. I realized pretty quickly that I love to guide and help people with their finances. I started doing home loans and caught the bug, mortgage loans are like a mathematical word problem. No two transactions are ever the same. We are constantly problem-solving and building relationships.
It is rewarding to help people become homeowners. I got into lending at a young age and became a top producer- being nationally recognized for my production. All while under 21, now, I’m almost 40 and still have the same passion for serving our community.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth or easy road. I work in an industry that is dominated by men. I came in young- looked young, sounded young and had to work harder to gain credibility.
I feel like social media has changed the general perception. We can brand ourselves and create our credibility through content, client reviews and following. It’s another avenue to present yourself. My age group and youth are becoming more of a benefit than hindrance through social media. Social media can be a powerful tool for entrepreneurs in business.
My advice to other young women out there is to avoid complacency in your life. It’s the pitfall of success. It can impede your growth and future success. Never stop striving for MORE. Keep growing, learning and embrace change. Learn from your setbacks, and come back stronger because of them. Set goals and crush them!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Paramount Residential Mortgage Group- PRMG story. Tell us more about it.
Icloseloansdailey! I am a residential mortgage lender. I can help everyone from a first time home buyer needing down payment assistance to a client needing jumbo financing and everything in between.
I pride myself on my customer service and reputation for service. I want my customers to feel confident and excited throughout the transaction, we accomplish this through communication. I make myself available and take the time to explain each step of the loan process.
Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
I graduated high school early- at 16. I entered college and the professional world. This forced me not only to grow up quickly- but to also grow up in business. I am lucky to have had great mentors along the way.
I have three children, I am the primary wage earner in our family. My husband was an at home dad for my children’s first 13 years. This is something my husband and I are immensely proud of. My hope is that my children will benefit from nontraditional gender roles. It’s important to me that my daughter sees and feels my success and never feels limited in her own.
