So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started in the field of permanent makeup after enjoying a career in journalism. I was searching for a career change that allowed me to have a more direct, fulfilling impact on an individual’s life and I found that in permanent makeup.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Sometimes when you’re facing a new journey or “road” ahead of you, you have to navigate it. I tried to get the most momentum I could in learning everything about permanent makeup such as the different application techniques, the different forms, the trends, all the things you have to consider health-wise, etc. I just wanted to absorb it all like a sponge. If you’re changing careers or entering your career field for the first time, I think it’s better to go in over-prepared.
What should we know about Beauty Ink Doctor? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a cosmetic tattoo artist. I specialize in the application of all forms of permanent makeup such as eyeliner, freckles, 3D eyebrows, etc. One thing that sets me apart is I try to make sure my clients are super comfortable even before they enter my salon. I’m always available to answer questions and concerns, and I value my clients’ times. Their appearance and how they feel about it is very important to me.
