Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaylene Ignacio.
Jaylene, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started in the business about three years ago! I started when I was a senior in college. Real Estate has always been an interest of mine. I started working for a team as an intern with “Your San Diego Agents.” They taught me how to start my business from the ground up. Their business model inspired me to work hard, and stay on top of my social media game! Today, most of my success comes from close connections with my colleagues and how powerful social media can help with bringing on new clients!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road, and I am almost positive every Realtor could say the same! I am still not where I want to be in my business career, but being young and motivated, I’m just getting started! Some of the struggles I dealt with was keeping myself motivated! Staying busy was never the issue, it was staying positive when something went wrong. In Real Estate, there will always be a family that decides they don’t want to buy after working with them for so long, or there will be cases where a client doesn’t get pre-approved. It is all a part of the home buying process. So, my advice to those getting into the business is to be patient, and be reliable! You don’t get paid in Real Estate until you close a sale, therefore, be patient in getting a steady income at first!
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a trusted Realtor! I specialize in helping people buy and sell Residential Real Estate! I have a history of helping homebuyers find a home and close a sale in 21 days or less! Of course, with the help of my preferred lender, we are able to get the job done for homebuyers! I help a lot of VA homebuyers in getting them closing cost credit back to contribute towards their purchase. I also help clients relocate to different states. For instance, I helped a friend of mine, VA homebuyer, find a home in Colorado. This was totally out of my reach so I connected him to the top producing agent in that state to assist him in his purchase. Trusting your Realtor is first and foremost for your home buying experience. As a buyer, it is completely FREE for you to use a Realtor. The seller pays for all commissions. Therefore, if you are a buyer, I highly advise you to use an agent to help guide you through the process and to look out for your best interests! What sets me apart from others is that I am young, motivated, tech-savvy, and reliable!
Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
I mainly turn to quotes for inspiration! I listen to a ton of podcasts that help keep me motivated throughout the week- they really do help! For work, I am on an all-female Real Estate team named Your San Diego Agents! On this team, we all take pride in what we do, and we work hard for our clients, our brand, and for our family! They inspire me to stay consistent each and every day! I love how they built their business from the ground up. It motivates me to work hard for what I want!
