Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Moss.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Kyle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After spending nearly a decade with Qualcomm, I was ready to step into something more heart-centered and purposeful. Looking back at my career in corporate, non-profit, and publishing, in addition to my volunteer work, I realized that I was most alive when I worked alongside others to help them realize their fullest and most joyful potential. Knowing that and wanting to share my natural enthusiasm in life, I created Experts Together, a boutique life coaching practice focused on re-connecting busy women back to themselves, their families, their work, and ultimately their purpose. With my life coaching, I help others navigate their schedules, transform negative thinking, create a purposeful legacy now, and invite peaceful productivity and balance into every day.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
HA – nothing worth it is every easy! It’s been a challenge and an adventure for sure; one I wouldn’t trade. Working corporate for so long can give you a false sense of resources that just aren’t there when you start your own thing. Laying the foundation of your own dream company from the ground up is hilariously difficult and probably one of the best ways in the world to recognize the power of and need for support from others.
I would not trade the journey for anything though! In fact, I’ve called it my “journey through joy.” I’ve also adopted the mindset that I’m either winning or learning and that success is simply a little further down the road from failure so KEEP GOING.
Also, heed advice from people that have gone before you BUT be mindful that to create something new, you have to do things you haven’t done before. It’s definitely a tension you need to wrestle with to figure out your own stride.
What should we know about Experts Together? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
As a life coach and self-proclaimed “purveyor of joy” I offer customized workshops for organizations and small groups in addition to 1 on 1 time with clients – all with a flair towards curating JOY. We spend time exploring and discovering our own patterns and thought processes, enjoying relaxing activities, and tapping into an inextricable component of joy: service to others.
My ideal clients are busy and feel like time is rushing by so I help them:
– Slow down to uncover and then implement individualized time management strategies
– Learn to strike a healthy balance of their physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual self
– Transform any negative self-talk patterns
– Create space in their daily lives for reflection, gratitude, and re-connection to what brings them happiness
As an output of my energy and to ensure I’m practicing what I preach, I also created a fun side hustle called FOURyou (www.fouryou.co) which I call my “joy in a jar.” We sell homemade, all-natural body butter, wellness balm, and foaming handsoap and it’s been an additional journey that’s been a blast to explore!
Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
Find someone who’s energy is uplifting and resonates with you. And don’t force it – you’ll know when the right people come your way.
Also, speak your needs. Don’t let fear hold you back from approaching ANYONE you’re interested in getting to know and learn from. Be gracious, curious, and also willing to generously share with whomever you can.
Lastly, be diverse (in all meanings of the word) in who you ask for mentorship – you never know what you might learn or who might know whom!
