Conversations with the Inspiring Maria & Malou Saradpon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria & Malou Saradpon.

Maria and Malou, please share your story with us. 
We were first introduced to LipSense a little over a year ago and decided to become distributors when we realized we would go broke buying all the colors we wanted at a full retail price. So, we joined just for the discount, but that didn’t last long! We couldn’t go anywhere without someone commenting on our lipstick. “Oh, this? It’s LipSense. Look, it doesn’t come off!” *smudge fingers on lips and show off clean fingers.* We were impressing gals so easily with a product that sold itself, so we jumped in. I (Maria) was new to direct sales. I NEVER thought I would join a direct sales company, but this was different. Without looking for it, I found a company that I LOVED! I love every product that SeneGence carries, so it’s easy for me to sell. I truly believe that every woman owes it to herself to give LipSense a try. There is NO other product out there that can do what LipSense does, without all the harsh ingredients that most cosmetics contain.

When we joined in 2017, the company had gone “viral” and was BOOMING. SeneGence couldn’t keep up with the demand, and it only made our customers want LipSense even more. We had what we now jokingly call, the “Out-Of-Stockalypse 2017,” where every single LipSense color was out of stock. As soon as a color was added, it would sell out within 20 minutes. This went on for months. We were glued to our phones waiting to hear that something was restocked and we would RUSH to order huge amounts of said color at a time. It seemed like FOREVER but it got better. SeneGence was working hard to keep up with the demand by building more factories and slowly but surely, we went from having just 1 color in stock to 2, then 3, 4, 5, 10, 15… until all colors were in stock and there to stay. After we collected every LipSense color known to man, we branched out and tried other products, falling more and more in love with SeneGence as we went along! Our makeup lasted all day and our skin never looked or felt better.

So fast-forward to today, where MMUAH is a one-stop shop for ALL things SeneGece! Our goal is to share revolutionary anti-aging skin care, long-lasting cosmetics, and patented transfer proof lipstick that lasts up to 18 hours with as many women as we can. We do what we do because we believe in empowering women with confidence and our products do just that!!

Has it been a smooth road?
Of course, not, nothing ever is!

The out-of-stockalypse was a struggle. Then we were having a hard time booking events because the LipSense spots seemed to fill up quickly. That was a bummer, but we kept on keeping on! We hosted our own multi-vendor events, we did demos and parties, and when we did book community events, we ROCKED them. Event coordinators and other vendors would, and still do, tell us how impressed they are with us. Our “uniform” (LuLaRoe lippy leggings with matching black tees), set-up, customer service and professionalism set us apart from other distributors. When they needed a LipSense vendor, they remembered that and would reach out to us first.

We LOVE our products, and our passion is contagious, making it easy for us to leave a positive impression. Our advice for young women starting their journey? Commit to it! Give it your all or don’t give it at all. Put in the work to set yourself apart, because giving anything less than 100% will only get you by for so long. People will remember the little details, so don’t forget them! Find your why and remember it when the going gets tough.

We are known within our team as the “girls that do events,” and with our customers as their LipSense ladies. We love to give makeovers! We are most proud of seeing how confident and happy our customers are after trying on a new color or getting their makeup done. Rachel Hollis has a very sweet writing style and we relate to her on so many levels – as Christians, mothers, wives, entrepreneurs and more. She motivates us to know our worth and embrace it, and to not worry about other people’s negative opinions of us.
