Today we’d like to introduce you to Olena Reshetnikova.
Olena, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was a creative and crafty person as far as I could remember myself. I need to thank my mother and granny who were always crocheting something beautiful for me. These clothes were extremely pleasant to wear as they were made with such love! But being an active child, knitting and crocheting, just sitting around seemed boring for me. Everything changed when I became a mother for the fourth time. When my daughter was born after three boys, it moved me deeply. I still remember that moment. Clearly, I was consumed with thoughts to create something new, creative and inspirational. Something valuable for people!
Meanwhile, I wanted to redecorate my living room and decided to crochet a pouf myself after long searching in the stores. But I couldn’t find quality and natural yarn when everything became clear. An idea finally formed – I needed to create high-quality and eco-friendly yarn myself! So I am the founder of Bobilon company, manufacturer of cotton t-shirt yarn, since 2016. Now Bobilon brand is well-known all around our creative world.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, no smooth road for me. It was hard to balance motherhood and start of a new business without any experience, became a groundbreaker in a new niche. I did my best and exerted myself trying to invent our own technology and set up the equipment to get the desired quality while also continued to be a loving and caring mother for my still small children. My main advice for all young women is don’t be scared to start something new and unknown. Just listen to your gut and put maximum efforts into what you truly love to do!
what should we know about Bobilon Company? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am proud of my team the most! These creative people put their hearts, souls, and love into our products. We manage to produce a really cool t-shirt yarn in 54 cheerful colors and four types of thread thickness. So all craft people can let their imaginations go wild and have unlimited possibilities! We receive tones of grateful feedbacks from our clients all around the world and their positive emotions are the real awards for my team.
Not so long ago we start to design kits for any experience level which are suitable for children also. As crocheting is not only relaxing and fun process, but also it helps with developing fine motor skills, serves as a great stress reliever, and activates the work of brain cells.
