Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosemary Oliveira.
Rosemary, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a Brazilian from southern Brazil living in San Diego for two years. I came with the objective of studying the English language in another country because I was a flight attendant in Brazil with the purpose of starting international flights. So, I started to be photographed by Jackson Wong and I started to receive several invitations to beauty pageants one of which was the Miss Europe California by Margarita Masyukova Fashion model. The event was held in Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, over there, I received the title of Miss Brazilian Beauty 2019. Soon after, I met Richard Rodstrom Fashion model published and actor in Los Angeles I also met film director Howell Kickliter and I was invited to appear in the movie The Devil’s Highway. In the same year of 2019, I was invited to participate in the largest international beauty contest Brazilian The Miss Brazil USA in Miami, Florida were elected the 20 most beautiful Brazilians women in the United States and I was one of them. I was proud to be considered the Brazilian most beautiful in San Diego. I modeled for several designers like Sierra Mitchell, Lana Romantic Rose and Katie Beach Wear. Today, I’m starting my studies in international business with the goal of being a recognized international mod and traveling the world.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yeah! Big things are always difficult and the road is full of obstacles, but I always dreamed big and never gave up on any of my dreams. I have always said that I try more than 500 times but I always succeed because I do not take my attempts as failures but as experiences and motivations to try again.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
I studied business administration in Brazil and did a university of psychology, but what I really dedicated myself to and chose to pursue my career in Brazil was civil aviation. As soon as I finished my studies in my home country, I followed the flight attendant career. I just needed to learn the most spoken language in the world that is obviously English and add more to my curriculum by learning more languages like Spanish and Italian that I also studied.
Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
Gisele Bundchen, a Brazilian model, because she is the most beautiful and best-paid model in the world, she said that in her career she has seen many girls giving up but she always believed in herself and never gave up to get where she came, and being Brazilian and the same state that my from Brazil, this makes me very proud.
