Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara ReVoe.
Sara, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
You know that feeling; where you are positive, there is something missing but you just can’t place your tongue on it. That’s how I felt a majority of my life up until I started my business. On the outside, it looked like I was an ordinary girl growing up in the suburbs of Northern California, yet if you were to step inside my home, you would realize that was just not the case. I was always searching.. for myself, yes, but mainly for the truths of the universe. I grew up in a strict religion where there was no room for a wandering mind. I hated the chains that bound me. I spent my years studying energy, holistic healing modalities, and universal secrets in hopes to fill the void within. It wasn’t until I moved to San Diego when my journey really began. I was a psychology major at UCSD and dabbled in cognitive development research. The brain is so fascinating to me. Just like the universe. Both with endless possibilities, holding knowledge so profound the human mind can not comprehend. That is the beauty of it. We are not supposed to know everything. There is ALWAYS more to learn. Immediately after graduation, I did as society tells a young impressionable graduate to do. Get a 9-5 job. I worked as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist for over a year, serving the most severe cases of mental health in the San Diego County. This year was monumental for me. I was able to pop the bubble of my own happy reality and fully begin to understand the darkness of this world. This job changes people, I have always been so positive and so free. Yet I slowly started to lose myself one day at a time. My soul craved connection. I felt so lost. I remembered my curiosity for energy and how I put it aside to focus on my studies. I met my mentor Melanie Esperon and with her guidance, I began again to grow my spiritual gifts. It wasn’t long before she told me I was ready. “Have blind faith and quit your job, the universe will deliver.” And so I did. I put in a month’s notice and started my business. I am an energy worker. I utilize different modalities in session to help heal deep-rooted repressed traumas, pain, or emotions that we have all buried down deep within. I feel so blessed for this change in my life. I have stepped into alignment with my highest self and I strive to assist everyone to feel the way I do. Happy.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The entire journey, which is never-ending, is filled with obstacles. What would life be if we were just to sail down a smooth river with no debris in our way. It would be boring and uneventful. As much as it pains me to say due to the extreme sorrow and heartache I have been through over the years, it’s worth it. Each obstacle we faced is a lesson to be learned. We are on this earth to gain wisdom. To live this human experience. Which includes the good and the bad. It’s in our darkest hours where our strength is built. I encourage women who feel lost and broken to keep on pushing. Be kind and gentle to yourself. Remind yourself daily of your own unconditional self love. Surround yourself with positive, uplifting people. Just keep pushing. When we give our all the universe rewards us. It might not be instantaneously. It might take a lot of patience. But it is always worth it. It really never is about the destination but the journey that gets you there. Remember you are in control of your life. You can rewrite the script.
What should we know about ReVoe Reiki? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Being a fairly new business, I am having the most wonderful time exploring what brings me the most happiness. Like I said, I had no plans on starting this business. It was a moment decision of blind faith. I am a Reiki Master and open channel, yet I would describe myself as an Energy Worker. I bring together different modalities of holistic healing in order to release dense low vibrational energies that are blocked within our chakra system. I began working mostly with one on one sessions. I have served all this population has to offer. Including children, prenatal mamas, during natural labor, elderly, adults, you name it I’ve reiki’d it (; Yet over the past couple of months, I have found a love for group work. I remember during college, I would always imagine retiring as a professor. I believe I’m pretty funny, which helps hold the attention of a crowd long enough to teach important concepts that can dramatically alter one’s perception of the universe as a whole. I have begun to host alongside my beautiful sisters Full Moon Circles at Light and Space Collective monthly. I have also assisted with children’s energy workshops, lead meditations, and started a book club. Much more to come during the year 2020 of growth including a podcast, a couple retreats, and many many many more activities to bring the community together. Whatever fuels my soul, I will follow and go.
Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
My advice is to not search, yet the perfect mentor will come into your life when you least expect it. You will know in a moment that this person will add value to your life. It is an energetic connection. I had heard about Melanie from many of friends telling me that I NEEDED to meet her. Immediately after our first session together, I knew. She was it. I am eternally grateful for the wisdom and knowledge provided by such a beautiful soul. She is an angel who walked into my life with divine timing.
