Conversations with the Inspiring Sidney Hambsch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sidney Hambsch.

Sidney, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, and then started my career as a television reporter in local news. I then transitioned into freelance reporting and started my first blog Newlywed Diaries where I gave readers a behind the scenes look at my life as a wife, new mom and journalist. I am now working on a new life and style website designed for modern parenthood that I’m thrilled to be launching this year!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest thing I’ve learned that it’s not only okay to say “no,” but it’s necessary to say no.

Steve Jobs says, “People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. But that’s not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully. I’m actually as proud of the things we haven’t done as the things I have done. Innovation is saying no to 1,000 things.”

what should we know about your business? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I love story telling, writing and being creative on camera! I specialize in television work – doing freelance spokesperson gigs for brands on morning shows, commercials, online and social media. I have a passion for creative marketing and enjoy producing unique stand-out content for my website and companies I believe in! I’m most proud of my little family – my husband is a physician, I stay at home with our two-year-old Liam and together we love celebrating life’s little moments in grand ways! My blogs goal is to inspire, inform and entertain readers to live their happiest and healthiest selves!

Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
Whitney Lundeen of Sonnet James, Naomi Davis of Love Taza, Kelly Mindell of DIY Studio and Alison Faulkner of The Alison Show! All mothers, creatives, free spirited, authentic and welcoming. I find so much strength, happiness and inspiration from consuming their content!
