Conversations with the Inspiring Vanessa Smith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Smith.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Let me start off by saying, I never knew where blogging would take me. I started blogging back in 2014 for myself, I read that blogging could help you step out of being an introvert and help you begin to speak confidently with others in uncomfortable situations. After blogging for a few months, I noticed people were actually reading what I was writing and asking me questions and wanting more insight on some things I was writing about. I completely began to look and blogging so differently, I find myself today writing to help and inspire others. My goal is to help at least one person through my blog to be able to live their best-inspired life now.

Has it been a smooth road?
OMG lets talk about my challenges in starting my blog. In the beginning, when I was just blogging for myself there were no worries. As I started taking blogging more seriously, I had to learn how to “blog”. I needed to teach myself how to make images, how to develop content, learn photography and learn how to market my blog. All while working a high-stress 9-5 job. My main struggle is being consistent. If you can find a way to be consistent, you can rule this blogging game.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into www.LivingLifeAsIAm.com story. Tell us more about the business.
LivingLifeAsIAm.com is a blog that inspires women to live their best inspired, creative and abundant life where they are now mixed with a dash fun Lifestyle elements.

I am most proud of being able to pass on my knowledge to help women be their best self and seeing it in the most beautiful and positive emails I receive from my readers.

What sets LivingLifeAsIAm.com apart from others is that the true love poured into this website is as real as it gets.

Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
I do believe that my childhood experiences have shaped me into the woman I am today. I group up in a home where it was just my mother, sister, brother and myself. As a child, I saw how hard my mom worked as a single mother who did not receive child support or government assistance. She worked so hard so that we did not have to grow up in the “hood”. She was such an inspiration and because of her, I work hard and make sure to be the best at whatever it is that I put my mind to.
