Today we’d like to introduce you to Kirby Horrell.
Kirby, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I volunteered for the Navy SEAL team in 1968 and went to Vietnam in 1970 I was on active duty until 1975 after the end of the Vietnam. Assistant in starting up the Navy SEAL reserve unit in Coronado California and was with that unit until 1990 when I was recalled back to active duty for Desert Storm Desert Shield. I have been involved in worldwide conflicts and combat in many different countries as and SEAL operator until I retired in 2015. That is when another teammate and Joseph Travers asked me to read a white paper about child trafficking in the United States. I could not stand by and allow this to happen in our state and our country. I have had to fight long and hard to protective United States of America.
So I volunteered to join the Saved in America crew of likeminded Americans veteran and volunteer my time expertise and talent to help rescue these young children that have been sucked up in the heinous crime of human trafficking. I still work full-time and then with all the spare time I try to reach out and make people aware of what is going on in their neighborhoods and in our cities. This is the United States of American not some foreign country, these trafficking pedophiles and criminals are doing this to American kids in American neighborhoods and it has to stop.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Life is never a smooth road for anyone. You have challenged every day of your life some big some small.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I think the easiest way to answer this question is to look me up on and it will pretty much tell you who I am. I have owned, operated and sold several businesses in San Diego. 1. Rask Boat Building Company, Coronado 2. Marine Ways, Coronado 2. Marine Pneumatics, National City 3. Quality Mechanical, San Diego 4. Tectonics Corporation, San Diego I am most proud of being a NAVY SEAL and training hundreds of young men to go to WAR and come back home to their families.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I want to see the trafficking industry stopped in its tracks and put me completely out of work. I want to know that our young people are safe when they go out on our streets and through our neighborhoods.
