Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Morales and Isabella Holguin.
Hi Vanessa and Isabella, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We (Vanessa and Me, Isabella) started De Moi Pour Toi in April 2018, but we put the project in standby for personal and academic reasons, and in April 2019, we returned with more knowledge, more vision than a year before. The comeback was very organic with lots of changes. We had ideas, dreams to achieve but we didn’t know how big and how much impact we could possibly have with our community.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every single day is a different problem to resolve, and in the road, we try always to learn from our mistakes and improve, but definitely, every challenge is a new opportunity. More with the COVID-19, everything is different and we want to give the best shopping and entertainment experience to our followers and clients.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
It’s a really interesting and different path that we have followed together, Vanessa and I, but it clearly makes sense right to know. We are students of accountancy (the art of register accounting entries) in UABC, Campus Tijuana, Baja California, and we are in the last phase to graduate and the rest will be paperwork. We love fashion, art and business (finances is music to our ears). We don’t regret the career that we choose because we built the pillars and we practice a strong work ethic, learned about finances and lots of other topics that entrepreneurs forget or do not get serious with.
Our business De Moi Pour Toi is on Instagram, the main thing is that we sell vintage, second hand and new clothes and berets in a different and unique way. We are known for creating outfits with the help of our followers, every week our girls send us to different occasions, locations, ideas, places, etc. and thanks to that income, we can invest in other projects like our seasonal art t-shirts, mugs, online classes of fashion and art or entrepreneurship. Vanessa and I love to invest in our formation, we take online classes about art, fashion, content creation, finance, etc. we believe in learning and investing in ourselves to bring better service to our followers.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The market of second hand and vintage is huge, we are in love with what represents our industry however we want to start producing different products, always looking for quality, durable, beautiful pieces.
