Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Silberman.
Hi adam, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into natural medicine began with a spark — and a bit of unexpected healing.
When I was living in Australia, I met my wife, and it was through her care and wisdom that I recovered from Epstein-Barr Virus. As a Naturopath, she introduced me to a different way of thinking about health — one that wasn’t just about managing symptoms, but about supporting the body’s ability to heal. A quiet seed was planted in me as I saw the profound impact this style of medicine had on her clients, and as I adopted health strategies that helped me to perform at my peak.
But it wasn’t until tragedy struck that the seed truly took root.
When I was 24 years old my father passed away suddenly, and it changed the course of my life forever. I still remember the last time I saw him — I was urging him to seek more help, telling him I was scared this might be the last time we’d be together if he didn’t start to change his lifestyle. He did what many do — he went to his doctors consistently. Cardiology, Primary Care, others. They told him he could lose some weight, but that he was otherwise fine. But the current system isn’t structured to do the work needed to address chronic conditions. It wasn’t enough and it failed him. It failed us as a family and we lost him at only 53 years old. Completely preventable.
Losing him left me with a deep sense that there had to be a better way — a way to prevent, to heal, to truly care for people before it’s too late. That was the moment I knew I had to step onto this path.
Through our medical practice Blueprint Wellness, it’s my mission to offer my clients more than just hope — I give them the tools and the partnerships to achieve truly optimized health. To resolve their disease, prevent cogniive decline amd heart disease, and maximize function during the aging process through integartive strategies. It’s personal for me. And it always will be. I never want a family to have to lose a loved one unnecessarily or prematurely, ever, like we did.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Practicing the art of medicine is never an easy road. That said, most of my struggles haven’t been with the practice of medicine itself — they’ve been with the business of medicine. The current healthcare structure often leaves people feeling just “okay” or living with chronic illness, rather than truly thriving.
Since starting practice in 2016, my goal for every client is not just to help them feel better, but to guide them toward optimized, vibrant health. Helping them to navigate a system that doesn’t always prioritize that vision has been one of the greatest challenges. Still, it’s also what motivates me every day to keep building a practice that puts true wellness at the center.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are Blueprint Wellness, a high touch, concierge naturopathic and functional medicine practice based in San Diego focused on disease prevention and performance optimization at every stage of life using evidence based cutting edge tools and diagnostics.
I specialize in the use of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, peptides, longevity medications, and evidence based natural therapies to optimize performance and prevent disease. I am known for my work in Men’s Health Optimization, Integrative Peri-Menopausal / Menopausal Treatment, Cognitive Decline and Heart Disease Prevention, and Athletic Performance. We rely on cutting edge testing and imaging to fully understand what’s going on in our client’s health picture, from genetics to mri imaging to comprehensive blood work, environmental testing, and more. My focus is on addressing the root causes of health issues, rather than just managing symptoms. I’m known for taking the time to really listen to my patients and creating personalized plans that help them feel empowered and cared for.
I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with my patients and the transformations I get to witness in their lives. Seeing someone regain their energy, improve their quality of life, improve cognitive decline, osteoporosis, heart disease, or finally find answers after years of searching — that’s incredibly rewarding. I’m also proud of the fact that I continue to stay curious and committed to learning, so I can always bring the best of both traditional wisdom and modern science to my practice.
I think what sets me apart is my commitment to truly individualized care. No two patients are ever treated the same because no two people are the same. I spend a lot of time with each person, understanding their full story — physical, emotional, and environmental — and we build a partnership in their healing journey. I also value collaboration, often working alongside other healthcare providers to make sure patients get the most comprehensive care possible.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
As I approach 10 years in practice, luck has played a beautiful role in both my life and my business. I feel incredibly fortunate that my practice has grown almost entirely through word of mouth. From the beginning, clients have referred their friends, families, and colleagues — and that trust means everything to me. I haven’t had to invest in traditional advertising, which feels like a rare and wonderful kind of luck in today’s world.
Referrals have given me the opportunity to work with Professional Sports Teams, Olympians, Special Forces, C-Suite execs, travel internationally in Africa, Australia, Indonesia, and Central America, and support some pretty amazing and impactful families here in San Diego and across the country. It has allowed me to create an incredible group of clients I get to serve every day. I am blessed.
Even the opportunity to be part of this article came through a referral from a colleague, which is another reminder of how much support and trust I’ve been given along the way. Every time a parent, a spouse, a friend, team member, or a child is sent my way, I feel deeply honored. I consider it a great privilege to be entrusted with the care of someone’s health, and I don’t take that trust lightly.
In many ways, I believe luck shows up when you approach your work with heart and integrity — and for that, I am very grateful.
