Hi Alise, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a Personal Stylist and the owner of House of Colour San Diego. Mission Hills, I help clients look amazing and feel their most confident by learning their best colors and styles!
My passion for color and style started in the crib. My mother was a fashion designer in NYC, and from my very first days I grew up inspired by her love of color and individual personal style – It’s literally in my DNA. Even so, I spent many years without a clear focus, yet wanting to be polished, express my personality, look attractive and feel confident in my clothes. Like so many of us, I had an over-stuffed closet and “nothing to wear”.
My own Color and Style Analysis appointments were a revelation that marked a crossroads in my life. ALL the pieces fell into place for me. I gained the knowledge I needed to focus on exactly what to buy and wear to dress as my authentic self.
My experience was so positively life-changing, that I had to share this transformational experience with others. I am so lucky to be able give my clients the gift of confidence and looking amazing everyday!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I started my business at the very beginning of Covid, so the lockdowns were a challenge as there were times that I was not allowed to see clients in-person. Style appointments can be done virtually, but accurate Color Analysis MUST be done in-person, in natural daylight. During the lockdown periods, I focused on helping my clients with Style and as soon as we were allowed to, we followed up with their Color Analysis so they had the compete package of knowledge they need.
