Our story started with a shared belief: that photo, video, design, and animation, when crafted with intention, have the power to bring brands to life and connect deeply with audiences. Based in Oceanside, California, Amigo Productions is a collective of multidisciplinary creatives who came together with a simple goal: to tell meaningful stories through strong creative work and seamless collaboration.
While each member of our team brings deep expertise in their individual field, we all share a common creative language. This allows us to work fluidly across disciplines—photo, video, design animation, and production—to build cohesive, elevated brand stories from concept through completion. Our process is rooted in trust, curiosity, and a genuine excitement for collaboration.
The team includes Brandon Means, a photographer and producer with a background in action sports and branded content. With years of experience directing and managing commercial campaigns for global brands like Colgate, Adidas, TRX, and Ali Express, Brandon brings both creative insight and logistical expertise to every production.
Cinematographer and Director Lucas Cardoso has a passion for helping brands create authentic connections through visual storytelling. With experience in digital strategy, social content, and commercial direction, Lucas’s work reflects a deep understanding of how to craft narrative and style that resonate with modern audiences.
Ashley Munson leads the design and illustration side of the collective, creating handcrafted visuals that inspire and empower emerging brands. With a strong sense of visual storytelling and a deep attention to detail, Ashley builds design systems that feel both strategic and personal.
Sam Freeman contributes across both photography and videography, with a versatile background spanning live music, weddings, studio work, and branded content. With a degree in marketing and years of real-world experience behind the camera, Sam bridges creative execution with client-facing insight—helping ensure the work speaks clearly and powerfully to its intended audience.
Austin Faure, founder of Amigo Studios (a creative branch of Amigo Productions), specializes in animation and filmmaking. His work brings stylized motion to life, merging narrative, design, and dynamic visuals to help brands express their identity in new and engaging ways.
Together, we’ve built a full-service San Diego film production studio equipped with the tools, space, and team to take on projects of all kinds—from commercial production and branded content to illustration, animation, web, and more. At Amigo Productions, we don’t just make visuals—we shape creative experiences that connect people to brands through clarity, craft, and story.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like most creatives, each of us at Amigo Productions has faced our share of challenges along the way. We’ve all either worked for ourselves or under brands with over 80+ years of combined experience. In commercial production, balancing a client’s vision while ensuring the final product still carries a distinct voice, tone, and feel for the brand is a constant and exciting puzzle to solve. Whether it’s navigating shifting timelines, unexpected changes on set, or learning from technical slip-ups, every challenge has pushed us to grow and refine our process. That’s part of what makes this work so rewarding: finding creative solutions under pressure and delivering photo, video, design, and animation that we’re proud of. Through it all, our shared experience and access to a full-service studio and a strong network of San Diego creatives keeps us agile, resourceful, and focused on building work that connects.
