Hi Aylen, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Aylen! I’m from Uruguay, a small country in South America. I moved to the United States almost ten years ago, and it hasn’t been easy. Adapting to a new culture, learning a new language, and building a life far from home has been a journey filled with challenges and growth.
Four years ago, I began documenting my life as a foreigner to share the realities of living in the U.S., from the struggles to the everyday experiences. Along the way, I discovered a passion for fashion, and refining my personal style helped me feel more confident in myself. Now, I create content to inspire others to explore their own style and feel that same sense of confidence and empowerment.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey has been far from easy. Content creation is a demanding process that requires immense dedication. From brainstorming ideas to filming, editing, and posting, each piece of content involves hours of effort. Despite this hard work, growing an audience has been challenging. Low engagement and views can be discouraging, often leading to feelings that the content is not enough. However, my passion for sharing my story and inspiring others keeps me going. Even when the road feels uphill, I remain committed because creating is something I truly love.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Currently, I work in retail, which has given me valuable insights into consumer trends and the fashion industry. However, my ultimate dream is to work in fashion marketing while pursuing modeling on the side. To bring this vision to life, I am planning to attend school soon to study fashion merchandising. This step represents my commitment to turning my passion into a fulfilling career while continuing to inspire others through my journey.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I’ve learned that patience, self-discipline, and a willingness to learn and evolve are essential for success. Consistently delivering value to my audience while staying authentic to my vision is what drives me forward.
