Today we’d like to introduce you to Beau Basinger.
Hi Beau, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In 2018, I took my mother on a heritage trip across Iceland as a way of saying thank you for raising 4 boys on her own. I was so proud of that experience and wanted to share it with others, but hated the photos I took. That’s when I decided to buy my first camera.
That same year I took a backpack and my camera through Southeast Asia for a few months. This was the trip that changed everything. I felt like a NatGeo photographer; capturing the Hmong hill tribes, the beautiful landscapes, and the unique stories not yet told on social media. I was hooked.
The next major turning point came in 2020, when my career was put on hold. I asked myself, “If I’m ever going to pursue photography as a career, why not now?” I sent some photos to outdoor brands seeing if they’d like to collaborate, and they said yes. This was all the confirmation I needed.
Fast forward to today, I’ve worked with some of the worlds largest brands, I support small business owners with content that increases revenue, I love what I do and I do it every day.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has been anything but smooth. Some of the bumps turned out to be spike strips and land mines, lol. I keep a positive mind though, and that has influenced the way things work out.
I’ve “taken my shot” many times when it comes to growing my business. I launched an online course, coached students 1 on 1, worked with top industry professionals, influencers, big brands, corporations, and so on. Some of these ideas worked out short term, and some are great for the long term.
Taking more chances, and taking them often, has always led me to a greater place. I absolutely believe that each time we take a chance in life, it get’s us closer to where we’re supposed to be.

Our clients work with us because they:

If you look at my Instagram, you’ll see a lot of outdoor travel and adventure content. That’s the core of my spirit; challenging myself and doing things most people are afraid to do (like skydiving, climbing to the edge of the cliff, and exploring the road less traveled).
What people don’t know is that I am equally jubilant when capturing candid portraits, particularly with foreign cultures.
I am curious about the world and peoples stories. Capturing a candid moment feels like I’m helping tell their story without words, and I love that.
