Today we’d like to introduce you to Bravo Molina.
Hi Bravo, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It all started around 2020. I started social media for fun and it grew to become a medium to support local businesses. I saw that local businesses were hurting in the time of the pandemic. During the pandemic, our way of supporting local food businesses would be to order food to go or through delivery apps. When the food got to our home, we would take pictures of them and post recommendations and reviews online. Taking photos and videos became a fun hobby which turned into something more. As more businesses saw my posts, they would reach out to me to take more photos and/or videos of their offerings. I have developed relationships within the foodie community as well as with food photographers who have helped improve my skills in my photography journey.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With all things, things take time. New hardware (cameras and the gear that comes along with it) and software (social media and editing software) all have a learning curve. I can honestly say that I am not the most tech savvy or the most patient when it comes to learning new things. Those have been the biggest challenges and obstacles that I have and am still overcoming.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work as an ICU Nurse in a Psychiatric facility with a facility I truly love. Psychiatrics is my specialization. We are known for helping stabilize mentally ill patients and getting them back into society as stable and well contributing citizens. I am most proud of assisting patients with their orientation packets and getting started with the healing process. Getting patients back to a state of normalcy is a team effort. And no one does it better than the “A-Team” in our facility.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I like the huge diversity in San Diego. San Diego is a huge melting pot of various cultures and ethnicities. With all that diversity comes a wide array of food options which is a big plus. The thing I like the least about our city is the traffic. I can’t get to all these cool spots around town all at once.
