Bree, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Toby & Linus was inspired by my very own rescue pups October (Toby) and Linus. They’re hairless and I wanted to make sure they were always warm enough! Like most pet parents, I wanted the absolute best for them and wasn’t impressed with what was already out in the world. After navigating how to create such a fun brand for an entire year, we launched in February of 2024!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Launching any sort of brand is difficult but designing something that is both for pets AND humans is even more difficult. Toby & Linus consists of just my partner Matthew Serrano and I so it’s just the two of us learning as we go!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the CEO and designer of Toby & Linus. We offer matching clothing and accessories for pets + humans! I’m so proud of the 3 collections we’ve launched since February of 2024 and the fact that every animal you see modeling on our website are rescues!
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I’ve been a plus size model for 10 years so people are used to seeing me in front of the camera. I think it would be surprising to learn that I’ve taken all of the skills I’ve garnered from being on set for other brands and applied them to Toby & Linus. I’m the CEO, designer, social media manager, creative director and more! I have to wear so many hats that I’ve never worn just as a model.
