Conversations with Greg Driscoll and Brendan Eprile

Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg Driscoll and Brendan Eprile.

Hi Greg and Brendan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
We are Fab The Duo, an alt-rock duo living in Southern California. We are also a couple that met on Tinder while living in New York. We have toured across the country, opening for acts like Betty Who, and we recently dropped our debut album, “Mascara Revolution.”

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We’ve faced so many obstacles since starting on this career path. The number one obstacle is money, as being independent artists means we have to invest in everything ourselves, from touring, recording, production, and promotion. The pandemic was also a large obstacle as we couldn’t do what we love most, which is performing! Finally, we constantly have to deal with the stigma of being an interracial gay couple and paving our own lane, as no one else has done what we’ve done before!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are an alt-rock duo, which essentially means we’re two frontmen with either a backing band, tracks, or acoustic guitar. We started out in New York City before moving to LA, and we’ve toured across the country performing our music, including Portland, Austin, Philadelphia, Boston, DC, and Nashville. We’ve been on the same stage as artists like Betty Who, Jordy, and Siena Liggins, and we’ve performed multiple Pride Festivals, including the first-ever Venice Pride, Austin Pride, and headlining Burlington Pride in Vermont. We’ve released two EPs, and now a debut album and have been recognized by large publications like Billboard, Hollywood Life, HuffPost, LA Weekly, and The Advocate.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Our motto is to always be yourself, and we feel like we aren’t afraid to show our authentic selves in our artistry and take big risks. Our blessing and curse is that there is no one doing what we do so we’re essentially trailblazers.
