Conversations with Brian Blindauer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Blindauer.

Brian Blindauer

Hi Brian, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
When I first got a car I was always out and about trying to see all the amazing places around the Coachella Valley. Eventually I decided to purchase a camera to document all the stuff I would go see. A friend got a camera too and he challenged me to learn manual settings instead of shooting in auto. That kickstarted everything. After that I started photographing landscapes and learning everything I could about how to take beautiful landscape photos. Today I’ve been to some of the most beautiful places in the US and am now traveling internationally to capture the beauty of other places.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say it’s been smooth. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve broken gear. But I’ve always learned from any mistake I’ve made and that made me a better photographer today.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a landscape photographer. Mainly I am known for a few images and videos I’ve taken locally. A picture of a cross on the mountains with the moon setting behind it is one of the pictures that gained a lot of attention. I’ve also had success with drone videos when I captured the aftermath of Hurricane Hilary’s damage in the Coachella Valley. What sets me apart from others is my drive. I will go to many lengths to get the photo I want. I will drive for hours on end and get very little sleep so I can capture that perfect sunrise or sunset in the most beautiful locations.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
By checking out my YouTube and Instagram! I put a lot of effort into both of those platforms right now so you’re sure to see a lot of my work there.

Pricing:

  • $150/hr for any drone work
