Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Baldwin.
Hi Brittney, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I worked front desk at a spa in college in Dallas (where I’m from) and that’s where I was exposed to estheticians for the first time. I knew it was something that aligned with my interests and was a career I could see myself getting into one day. Fast forward 10 years. After 2 cross country moves, 2 kids, and many life changes, I decided to enroll in esthetics school in California where I completed the master esthetics program and officially became an esthetician. Now I work in PB! And will soon be relocating full time to our new Solana Beach location!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, not at all smooth. I was going through a traumatizing and uprooting life change in my personal life while attending school full time and taking care of my two young daughters.
However, I am grateful for the struggles. Without them, I wouldn’t have gained the resilience, strength, and appreciation for life that I currently have.
Situations are temporary.
At the end of it all, I am able-bodied and healthy. Therefore, I have no excuse.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an esthetician, specializing in corrective skincare and skin health. I help clients pinpoint the root cause of their skin issues and curate a plan to heal their ailments! I am a big believer in the skin acting as a map of what’s going on inside the body. Healing from the inside out is the most sustainable route.
I am known for pimple popping of course! Extracting only in a proper and professional manner, that is.
I am most proud of the genuine relationships I’ve been able to build with clients along the way. They are all so unique and bring so much value to my life. This career has led me to the most fulfilling time of my life.
