Today we’d like to introduce you to Carley Fischer.
Hi Carley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Two Headed Girl is a project that started in my bedroom in 2019. I was just writing songs and recording stuff for fun. I started showing my long time friend, who would eventually become the project’s drummer, Tommy, the stuff that I was working on, which led to us jamming and writing more songs together in my garage. We’ve always just been having fun with it, writing, recording and playing shows, but eventually my other good friend Daisy Lang joined the team and we started getting more serious in 2023 with the release of our first full length album, titled “You Are Here.”
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly, Two Headed Girl has always been a blast to work on. We all get along great and just have such a silly time when we’re together writing, recording and performing. I think the only “struggle,” if you want to even call it that, has been trying to find balance between performing live and taking time off in order to write and record new material.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a songwriter, a performer, and a music producer! Writing music has been a huge outlet for me since I was a kid, and getting to create and share work with people that I love is such a privilege. We do everything DIY, from recording, to making music videos, to hand printing our merchandise.
