Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Talamante.
Hi Carlos, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We set out to make a great tasting ice cream made with the highest quality, all-natural ingredients, it had to be a new concept that did not exist in San Diego. In 2017 we did just that, we started selling in farmer’s markets and street fairs. We then expanded to doing parties and all types of cater events and are very excited to be able to share our product 7 days a week at our very first store Front on Adams Avenue, Normal Heights.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The customer response has been great from the beginning, however, 2020 was very challenging since most of our events were canceled due to the pandemic. Luckily a spot became available on Adams Avenue and we jumped right in.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
After high school, I started working at In N Out Burger, they gave me an opportunity to move up in management. The training I received from them through In N Out university, the constant feedback, their high standards, along with the day to day grind is an experience that is in my opinion the best management school. I am forever grateful for the opportunities and training In N Out gave me.
What makes you happy?
Such a hard question to answer, but it starts with seeing the beauty of things even if on the surface, they may seem challenging. Having a beautiful wife and kids makes happiness easy.
