Conversations with Casie Falkinburg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Casie Falkinburg.

Hi Casie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Hi, my name is Casie! I am a mobile airbrush technician. I began working at tanning salons at 17 years old, which was 10 years ago. I was trained to be an airbrush technician (spray tan artist) at 18, and I fell in love with helping people feel amazing in their own skin! I only just left the tanning salon business about 1 year ago, so I spent a long time in the tanning atmosphere. I decided to get my own airbrush equipment and begin doing it on my own outside of the salon about a year and a half ago. I absolutely love it! And it makes things so much easier for my clients. I basically drive to their home at their desired time and set up the pop-up tent wherever they prefer, perform the service quickly and efficiently, pack up, and head out. My client gets the convenient luxury of receiving their custom tan in the comfort of their home, and I get to help someone feel extra confident 😊

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I would say it has been mostly smooth, but I have only just begun. In the beginning, I had some steady client flow as I was still working in the atmosphere where everyone wanted to be tan! Since I have left that world, it has not been so easy to find clients, and I have yet found the time to dive into properly marketing myself. I am a yoga teacher and a full-time momma to an amazing 4-year-old boy, and he consumes most of my time and energy 💕 It is one of my goals for the next couple months to start setting aside time to market and advertise myself, so I can move forward with this successfully!

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a mobile airbrush technician! So, I drive to clients’ homes and give them a custom airbrush spray tan. Spray tans are a fantastic way to look good and feel confident! I use Norvel solutions which give a natural-looking tan that lasts 7-10 days. Not only does the solution give beautiful color, but it is also vegan, cruelty-free, non-comedogenic, natural ingredients, and it smells great! I have been spray tanning people of all ages, shapes, sizes, colors (you name it) for about a decade. It is something that I find so much joy in because it helps people feel good about themselves. No matter what the occasion is, or even if there is no occasion, I will always deliver my absolute best and precise work for every client.

What makes you happy?
Life is an interesting journey, and finding happiness in everything is the way to go. My son is definitely the number 1 part of my life that brings me happiness. He is the sweetest, most loving little boy, and I genuinely don’t know what I’d do without him. It also makes me happy to bring happiness to others, and that is why I choose to do things for work that brings others joy, such as my airbrushing and my yoga teaching.
