Today we’d like to introduce you to DaNaya Burnett.
Hi DaNaya, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began my journey with loc styling in 2012 during my freshman year of college and have continued to refine my craft ever since. I’m deeply passionate about hair care and take great pride in helping individuals feel confident and empowered through their appearance. Beyond styling, I’m committed to educating my clients on how to properly care for and maintain their hair, promoting both health and self-expression.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This has been a smooth transition moving from Illinois to California, within my first 6 months in San Diego I built a strong community and I love them for trusting me with their crown!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a master loctician who specializes in anything related to dreadlocks. My favorite part about working with Locs is the transformation I give my clients. I love working with locs that need a little extra love to get back to healthy sturdy Locs. I am so proud to have been named one of San Diego’s 40 under 40 business owners. My individuality and care for my clients and their hair sets me apart from others.
