Conversations with Emma Cebreros

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emma Cebreros.

Hi Emma, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always been a workaholic—driven and determined since I was a kid. Whether it was selling chocolates in middle school to afford concert tickets or cleaning houses for extra cash, I found a way to make things happen. That drive followed me into adulthood. I also work in retention sales at a multilevel marketing company but as much as I love my 9-to-5, I want more than clocking in the rest of my life.

I began exploring the beauty world—taking courses in nails, brow lamination, and lash lifts—searching for something I truly loved. At the same time, I was battling acne and the toll it took on my mental health. That struggle pushed me toward skincare, and I became passionate about helping others feel confident in their skin.

I graduated from beauty school, worked at a day spa for a year, and in July 2024, I took the leap to go solo. This July marks one year as an independent esthetician, and it truly feels like just the beginning. I’m excited for all the possibilities ahead.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As great as independence was, I struggled to make ends meet. At times, I took on more responsibility than I should have. My personal life happened and I added school to the mix. I knew it wouldn’t be easy. I worked my 9-to-5, attended school in the evenings, and squeezed in clients during my “free time” to practice my craft. I pushed through the challenges. I was also surrounded by amazing and supportive friends and family.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a solo esthetician specializing in facials, brow laminations, and lash lifts. My passion lies in offering transformative facial experiences that leave your skin glowing, refreshed, and decongested—all while providing a safe, relaxing and comfortable space. I take pride in going above and beyond for each client, offering a level of personalized care and attention that many larger spas simply don’t have the time to provide.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I have learned along my journey is that I am not perfect and that’s OKAY!!! At times I fell into the trap of comparing myself to other professionals, but I am lucky to be in an industry where we all support each other. We do not compete with anyone but ourselves. I have learned to acknowledge that and appreciate the professional journey I am on.
