Tap Rack Bang, LLC was founded by Ernie Medina in 2016. A former Marine, Ernie’s passion for self-defense led him to open TRB and he hasn’t looked back since. The business has grown exponentially over the years and even expanded beyond California to Arizona as well.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any new business, TRB has faced many challenges, however, the strength instilled through our military and law enforcement backgrounds has prepared us to face all the challenges we experience along the way.

Tap Rack Bang, LLC (TRB) is a quality firearms training business with a focus on real-world self-defense techniques. Probably best known for our certified CCW Permit Training (Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, and San Diego counties; as well as Utah and Arizona), we also offer tailored training options from the most knowledgeable instructors and staff in the industry. Whether it’s group, private, pistol, or rifle, we are a one-stop shop for everything self-defense (including gear!). We constantly strive to improve everything we do through research, relentless practice, and innovative ideas.
