Conversations with Evalena Kalla

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evalena Kalla.

Hi Evalena, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started working for a small, local event-planning company at 18 years old and absolutely fell in love with the idea of creating something magnificent for any client. As the years went by, I grew to become creatively independent, and many people noticed I had the heart, energy, and eye for this career. I decided to take charge of a new future, and at 23 years old, I started OMNI Event Planning and Coordination. To challenge myself at such a young age and take a leap of faith into something that I could finally call mine has been the best decision of my life, and I couldn’t be happier.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I think with any story, there are always going to be struggles along the way. I put effort into all my work, whether it’s for any company or whether it’s for mine. I realized throughout those years that I wanted to put all my ideas and creative pieces into something that was mine rather than something that could benefit others. I never had the guts to even think about starting my own business, but once a graduated college, I found a job that basically gave me the knowledge, courage, and the push I needed to start 2023 off with a bang and launch my own company.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
OMNI Event Planning and Coordination is a full-service planning and day-of-coordination company equipped with a full team and specific packages created just for the client. No client is the same to me because I cater to different requests, ideas, and visions that I bring to life. I treat all my clients with the same respect and love that I receive from them. Some clients turn into really amazing friends of mine, and to think they trust me to plan their event is something I will be grateful for now and in 20 years. What sets me apart from others is my youth. Youth brings the trends, the modern element of planning, the relatable aspect of communication, and customer service.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I think anyone can relate, but apps like Instagram, tik tok, Pinterest, etc, scream new trends and constantly spark new ideas for me in order to pass on to my clients.
