Today we’d like to introduce you to Henry Littleworth.
Hi Henry, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Art was always an escape for me. Through professors, coworkers and other artists, I found a love for the world and its physical intricacies. That’s what I make art about now.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest challenge was always trying to find my niche. It felt like I had explored everything and nothing seemed to fit. When I finally found that niche, it felt like a big weight off my shoulders.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I was employed at the Escalette Permanent Art Collection throughout college, working as both collection assistant and creative strategist. I developed my skills as a graphic designer, which I now do professionally, while also cultivating my knowledge of art practice and art history. Through studio visits, workshops and interviews, as well as maintenance, cataloging and writing, my career and presence in the art world truly started here.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I am working my way through Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, trying to find alternative ways of living. There is nothing a good playlist can’t help me work through.
