Today we’d like to introduce you to Isabel Ramirez
Hi Isabel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Ten years ago, I picked up a camera for the first time in college, driven by a desire to capture portraits of people, architecture and food. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and I found myself working with a YouTuber, where I learned and practiced my skills for two years. This experience ignited a spark in me, leading to the creation of my own social media agency, Salsa Digital, alongside my partner, Lucynda Carrancedo. Together, we offer a range of services, including photography.
However, my love for capturing images continued to grow, and I decided to pursue photography and videography on the side, leading to the creation of Isabel Ramirez Photography. Now, I balance my time between running our successful agency and dedicating myself to the art of photography, where I specialize in food, portraits, and product photography, as well as videography.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely been a challenge managing two businesses, and a home, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding and fun. I love meeting new people and capturing the essence of their brands.
Balancing the demands of running an agency while pursuing my passion for photography and videography through Isabel Ramirez Photography has pushed me to grow in ways I never expected.
There have been times when juggling both felt overwhelming, especially when it came to dividing my time and energy. However, these challenges have taught me valuable lessons in time management, prioritization, and staying adaptable.
Despite the obstacles, I’m incredibly grateful for the support of my husband, Alfredo, and the encouragement of my friends and family. Their support has allowed me to explore both of my passions, and I’m excited to see where this new project takes me.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have more experience in food photography, but I’m also very passionate about design, fashion, architecture and capturing portraits as well.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the way I’ve been able to balance running an agency while pursuing my passion for photography. This journey has not only allowed me to grow as a photographer but also to connect with amazing people and help them bring their visions to life.
What sets me apart from others is my commitment to understanding my clients’ needs and the collaborative process I engage in to create images that truly reflect their brand or personality. I’m not just a photographer; I’m a storyteller who strives to capture the emotions, stories, and essence of what makes each subject unique. This dedication to authenticity and connection is what drives my work and continues to inspire me every day.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
I grew up in Durango, a small city in Mexico. I have the best memories there, exploring nature and spending quality time with my family. Those moments of adventure and connection with loved ones remain deeply cherished.
