Conversations with Jacob Suarez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacob Suarez.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up around hoarding and trauma cleanup, so I’ve seen firsthand how someone’s environment can fall apart when life hits hard. Volunteering with the Trauma Intervention Program made that even clearer. I wasn’t just showing up to scenes—I was sitting with families in their most vulnerable moments. That work shaped how I see people, clutter, and the quiet ways trauma shows up in our homes.

Eventually, I started sharing those stories online. What began as simple before-and-after cleanups quickly evolved into something deeper. People resonated not just with the transformation, but with the humanity behind it—the shame, the grief, the small sparks of hope. My content started reaching millions, and I realized there was a real hunger for honest, compassionate storytelling around topics most people avoid.

As the audience grew, so did the responsibility. I started finding ways to turn awareness into action—connecting people with resources like therapy, offering educational tools for families of hoarders, and helping businesses show up with empathy in a space that often lacks it. The goal became clear: use this platform not just to entertain, but to bring dignity and healing to people who feel forgotten.

Now, I’m building systems to scale that mission—creating content, programs, and partnerships that help clean homes, support families, and tell stories that remind people they’re not alone.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s common for entrepreneurs to bite off more than they can chew. It’s exciting to take on a big project.

But with lack of experience and project management skills I found myself going in too many different directions and was unable to focus my attention.

Side quests are great and can unearth amazing opportunities. But too many side quests will keep you stuck on the learning curve and prohibit you from applying your skills efficiently.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I run a social media platform and business called BiggieClean, where we document extreme hoarding and trauma-related cleanups across the U.S. My work sits at the intersection of mental health, content creation, and real-world crisis response. I specialize in telling raw, human stories behind the mess—connecting with millions of viewers through short-form videos that highlight the emotional and psychological weight of clutter, not just the physical cleanup. Alongside the content, I help families find practical resources like therapy, clutter intervention tools, and professional cleaning help.

What I’m most proud of is the impact. We’ve helped people who felt hopeless take the first step toward getting their lives back. Our content has led to hundreds of cleanups, funded thousands of dollars in therapy, and sparked honest conversations around grief, mental illness, addiction, and trauma. Whether it’s a single mom on the edge of eviction or an elderly man struggling alone in silence, we’ve been able to step in and help—not just with a mop, but with real support.

What sets us apart is the way we bridge storytelling and service. Most cleanup content focuses on shock value; ours focuses on dignity. We approach every situation with compassion and zero judgment, and that shows in the way people respond.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I fell in love with sports and going on adventures.

Soccer, track and cross country I hyper focused on during the school year and during the summer months I would volunteer or attend summer camps and academic travel abroad opportunities.

I could wide range of experiences under my belt from that I’m quite grateful for it.
