Hi Janna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi my name is Janna Marie and to explain me and what I do is, with a background in freelance illustration and cartooning, I draw inspiration from retro-themed excursions, where vintage toys and cartoons play a pivotal role in shaping my artistic vision.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My biggest challenges are that I am only one person. I draw, I paint, I woodcut, I make apparel, pins, prints and stickers, you name it!
It’s all about production and selling yourself to the masses, getting into as many shows as you can. No matter how small and constantly posting anything and everything you can!

With vintage toys, cartoons and classic media. – I’m all over the place. Lol
I guess in short my brain is like Peewees playhouse where sits cartoons and monsters all day and all things fun, cartoony and weird. You can see that in my work!
What matters most to you?
Representing the underdog. The freaks of nature, being appreocated for being different and shinning a light on that.
