Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeff Moore
Hi Jeff, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I opened Solana Succulents as a specialty retail nursery in 1992. North San Dieg0 County is the ornamental succulent growing capital of the world, so we have been able to offer an array of unusual or newly developed plants to the public. I have written six books about succulents, and am a speaker for plant clubs and botanical societies.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve been fortunate to have a job I enjoy.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’ve created many succulent landscapes over the years, although I’ve moved away from that part of the job in recent years. I was known for a time as the creator of ‘undersea’ succulent gardens. Most people now are aware of me and my business from my books.
