Conversations with Jennifer Linch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Linch.

Hi Jennifer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My background is in Mergers and Acquisitions but my true passion is making movies so 4-4-2014, I started my production company called Sunshine Pictures – Sunshine is the name of my beloved cat. Later I changed it to Nameless Studios www.namelessstudios.net

We have produced short films that won awards internationally, especially for fight sequences. My production company solely focuses on Martial arts comedy feature films for international viewers. Most will be just PG or PG 13. I love watching action-comedy or fantasy martial arts comedy when I was a kid so that is what I’m producing now.

The trailer for KUNG FU GHOST – a supernatural romantic martial arts comedy feature film- will be out Spring 2022 and while my sales agent will be taking the film to international markets, we will develop my second feature – Action Adventure Comedy planned to film in San Diego and Viet Nam.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
If the road is so smooth, life won’t be so interesting 🙂 Learning every single aspect of film making: developing story with writer, producing the projects with co-producers/investors, editing, color grading, sound design, dialogue editing, VFX…Then, film markets, contracts, ROI, PR…

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What I do is to try to make you- the viewers- laugh and feel happy after a long day at work. Just sit back, relax, have some fun with our feature films. Hopefully, our fight sequences can inspire you to take up some martial arts lessons at your community. And when you feel happy and relaxed after watching our films, I hope you will share a smile with the next person you meet. That’s all my production company want to achieve 🙂

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Watching Jackie Chan movies or fantasy martial arts series with my family.
