Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Sampson.
Hi Jessica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey when I was a teen. I worked at Seaworld and loved the fast pace hospitality making and serving food. I moved to Better Buzz and served up coffee tea and made people smile with a drink! I had an opportunity come up that put my dreams on hold of having my own business, but after working for my mother’s business—she inspired me to take risks, how to handle owning my own business and how she is always helping others inspired me and was what I needed to learn in order to push me to open my own adventure. I opened Major Grind Cafe this year 2022 in honor of my mother’s hard work! I am so excited to bring our coffee and signature drinks to everyone! I have been working hard behind the scenes mastering the coffee beans, drinks, etc.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
All challenges we saw while bringing this business to life we have taken as learning experiences. Owning your own business is not a one size fits all. You have to learn what works for you and what you are trying to accomplish and adapt to new things and use advice and knowledge that you have been given and trust your instinct. The experience is constantly teaching me about myself. Big shout out to @sd_foodtruckpros for helping with the build of the truck!

I pride myself in the hard work and passion I put to bring every cup of coffee to life! Like a person who paints has a canvas when they are done and for me, I am a barista to my heart and a cup is my canvas and my art.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I have been extremely blessed to be surrounded by entrepreneurs! My mother and older sister have successful businesses! I have been able to learn from Tony Robbins, John Maxwell, Ed Mylett, Mel Robbins, and so many more amazing motivational speakers!
