Hi Jessie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We are a husband and wife photography duo, united not just in love but in our passion for capturing the beauty of life through our lens. For the past decade, our craft has seamlessly transformed from a solo endeavor into a beautifully rebranded partnership that captures the essence of what we are today. We shifted from Jessie Jean Photography to Ryerson Co.
Every day, we are reminded of the preciousness of time through the little moments and giggles of our two little girls. Their laughter is a gentle reminder that life is fleeting, and we strive to capture those fleeting seconds.
There is something truly magical about freezing moments in time; it fills our hearts with joy. Both Elliot and I often find ourselves thinking about how a single photograph can transform into a cherished heirloom, passed down through generations. In an age where capturing images is as simple as tapping a screen, countless snapshots often fade into the abyss of our digital galleries. Yet, when we take the time to invest in something more meaningful, we are crafting memories that become treasured tokens of our lives.
Together, we delight in the artistry of framing fleeting moments in a way that tells a story, capturing the essence of love, joy, and connection. Each click of our camera is a celebration of time, inviting you to hold those memories close to your heart forever.
Our motto over the last decade has been “Be you, we’ll capture that.”
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have certainly encountered our share of challenges. This past year, we faced a significant setback, which, in a way, placed us in a creative rut. The economy has presented its own trials, resulting in a decline in bookings that felt all too frequent. In a field marked by fierce competition and constant comparisons, it is easy to lose sight of our true selves or feel disheartened by our efforts.
Yet, as we look towards 2025, our hearts brim with hope and determination. We aspire to pour our souls into reigniting our passion for capturing beauty and fully immersing ourselves in our rebranding journey. This commitment will allow us to illuminate the artistry we create and share it with the world in its most authentic form.
