Today we’d like to introduce you to Johnny Sudeta.
Hi Johnny, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We were all friends in high school! It started out as bedroom recordings up at my parent’s house in Victorville, I then recruited my two best friends Seth Ahumada and Jacob Sepe then later recruited another friend of ours Chad Nicholson! I was originally a drummer and didn’t play much guitar so I learned a few chords and got started! My friends didn’t play any instruments so we all learned together by ear when recording our first album “Out in the boonies” you can find it on all platforms! But we began in Upland in 2018 later relocated to Oceanside in 2019 and haven’t looked back we’ve gone through a few lineup changes since then but the current lineup is me (Johnny Sudeta) on vocals/guitar and on lead guitar it’s still Seth Ahumada we lost Jacob Sepe for a bit but he is now back permanently! And on drums, we have Hunter Arnold…
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t always been smooth. We have gone through several lineup changes lost a lot of friends through the years. We all live together so we all work full time while juggling the band and shows, but we always have each other at the end of the day and we have a great understanding and empathy for one another and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a band. We really don’t claim any genre; we like to make whatever makes us happy at that point in time! We all have the exact same music taste (which is everything) and we’re super open to all writing styles and we love to change so I guess we specialize in doing it all!! And definitely most proud of my friends for all their hard work and effort they put in!!
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Shows make me very happy, also getting to spend these wonderful nights and create amazing albums with my best friends on this planet!
