Today we’d like to introduce you to Julie Marissa
Julie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi I’m Julie Marissa I’m 34. I’m a mother of 3. Ages 6-14. I have a very busy and peaceful lifestyle. I grew up with little knowledge in life. I grew up in Sacramento and had a pretty tough childhood and young adulthood living in Sacramento. I was in a very bad relationship at just 14 years old, he was 21. I didn’t have people telling me what was right or wrong. I had my first child at 19 with someone who completely changed as an individual, partner, and father. I had a second child with him but after 7 years and many DV cases I left that relationship for good. Soon after I met my now ex boyfriend. We also have a child together. Like my previous relationship it got really unsafe for me and my children. I am now single and doing greater than ever. Lots of blessings and prayers sent my way from loved ones. It’s been tough but I have all the strength to pull through, for my children.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not. I’ve dealt with extreme bullying since I was small. It only got worse the older I got. I struggled with education because I didn’t want to be around my peers-they were so mean. I never fully had confidence and let men control my life.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a home caregiver for my special needs daughter – I’m also an entrepreneur and find any gig that supports my art. I love to perform . I love music and dance. I’m a very down to earth girl and will make you feel comfortable and welcomed always. I have a huge heart and its not always a great thing .
