Today we’d like to introduce you to Karissa Rose.
Hi Karissa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I had done modeling and a few different filming jobs and photoshoots in my earlier years of life but never would I have thought I would be where I am today. I have been an Allstar cheerleader for about 11 years now and that has been all I have known. It wasn’t until covid hit that my perspective on life changed. I realized that there was so many other things I enjoyed in life other than just doing cheer. During quarantine, my mom’s makeup company partnered with another company who was very much into social media that I realized I really love the industry and influencing…
Ever since then I have been working really hard on Instagram and from there I have joined every main platform. Most recently started a YouTube channel which I am so excited to announce what kind of content I will be creating on that. I am also in the works of a huge project and I am just gonna be honest I cannot wait to release it. I also dove into acting which I really enjoy as well. This whole journey defiantly has saved me. It has not been easy. There is so much strategies and not the nicest people in this business it gets tough but my motto in life is everything happens for a reason so I have just tried being as positive as I can be even when things aren’t very fair or have no reasoning behind it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, It is not a smooth easy road at all. There is so much in this business. It’s definitely a learning experience. Many people try and knock you down and some are very selfish. Honestly, you just have to stay true to yourself and if something feels right for you to run with it and never turn down an opportunity because someone tells you to. I would say one of my biggest mistake in this industry was listening to other people and their opinions on things. I realized I had lost myself and wasn’t staying true to what I believe in and I was feeding into the Image people wanted for themselves which resulted on me losing huge life-changing opportunities. It was awful and such a hard lesson to learn.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an Influencer, Actress, model, and cheerleader. I have been a competitive all star cheerleader for 12 years and recently placed second in the world. Prior to covid I modeled and worked primarily for companies that involved cheerleading. Once covid hit and the sport was canceled I expanded myself and started modeling and becoming the face of various companies. This past year, I have been so lucky to represent so many different brands from fashion to health. The thing that I am most proud of and that I believe sets me apart from others is my true passion and goals are to inspire my peers and younger kids and make sure they know to always keep striving to reach their dreams.
I love to model, act, and be an athlete but my drive is to use my platforms to let kids know that everything is going to be ok. We all have different paths, reach goals at different times in our lives, have things that happen that are unimaginable but you have to keep going even on the days you feel like quitting, even on those days you feel so alone, just keep going! AND we never know what someone’s going through or what news they received that morning so be kind and support each other always!
Any big plans?
I actually just started my YouTube channel and I have some very exciting content coming soon on new platforms. I can’t wait to release it. I also am hoping to announce casts I will be joining soon so stay tuned.
