Conversations with Karo Pacheco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karo Pacheco.

Hi Karo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Karo, I’m 31 years old, and I am from Costa Rica. When I started working, I was able to save some money and start travelling by my own. This first trip to Bolivia and Peru changed my mind, and I knew I wanna keep traveling as much as I could. Thanks to IG, I started documented the places that I visited, and people started following me, looking for tips and new destinations to visit. Even tho I have an 8-5 work, now that I can work remotely, I’ve been able to work from different countries as Spain, Guatemala, Brasil, Faroe Islands.

Right now, I’ve visited 33 countries, and I’ve been in 4/7 wonders of the world.

I also started my web page karopacheco.com where I help people to plan their dream trip.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It is not easy when you have a corporate 8-5 full-time job; you have to give the extra every day. Planning a great trip is time-consuming, then editing the content also takes a lot of time. When I’m working from other countries, I have to wake up really early in the morning to take advantage of time and then stay until late hours, curing the content of that day. I enjoy it so much, and for me, this is part of my life now.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a passionate about travel and looking for little-visited places. Today I have a total of 33 countries visited. In my favorites so far are: Iceland, Vietnam, Peru, Tanzania, and Curaçao.

I am also passionate about photography and making videos, so you will see that I am always looking for iconic places to get a good photo.

He was able to work making content for hotels and brands in different countries of the world, as well as in my beautiful country Costa Rica.

Now, thanks to the interaction with many of you and your requests to help plan incredible trips, I open this new space for you and to be able to guide you on your travels and join many adventures around the world.

What were you like growing up?
I would like to keep meeting other cultures and living different experiences. One of my goals is to have the opportunity of living in a different country, but just for a period of time, since I consider that Costa Rica has one of the best weathers in the planet, and I just love warm weathers.
