Today we’d like to introduce you to La Rance Braggs.
Hi La Rance , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Well it all started in 2004 when I stepped into the dj booth at 91.3 fm. After running the Friday night late show I was in love with making people happy. I had an overwhelming amount of requests for me to keep playin and from there I decided to record a single which was a gospel single. You know sometimes you just gotta get stuff off your chest you know. Well about 2010 I ventured into another realm which was comedy and that’s where I found my place. I have learned that even tho I’m a comedian I can be talented as or as much as the A listers out here. I’m still working on it. From comedy I started acting which was fun and still is. I enjoy helping tell a story that can help someone or it can just gett the people going😁
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not a been a smooth ride. I’ve lost a child after birth I got divorced I lost possessions and I was homeless…..I went thru the same stuff every great entertainer has been thru…..I just said alright get to work so you can have a roof over your head and looks like my time has coming ..thank GOD.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a stand up comedian first but I also act produce and direct. I just love my industry I work in.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Consistency and self determination main two
