Today we’d like to introduce you to LaNesha Kemp. Them and their team share their story with us below:
The 9Zero Band was formed in 2019 under the direction of Donell Hogan, Jr with Dtour Productions, Inc. Following his 20 year role of performing and music directing, Donell applied his experience and knowledge to create a platform for talented musicians and vocalists to perform in the Inland Empire. The 9Zero Band performs for city-wide events, casinos, private celebrations and other opportunities to uplift souls with music. The genres of music include Top 40’s, 90’s to early 2000’s Pop, R&B, and Rock and more!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The band was formed in December 2019 and upon preparing for the first gig, COVID-19 shut everything down. Our first performance was August 2021! Each band member dealt with a loss on some way, financial hardship, loss of a loved one, reconsideration of goals, etc. we recruited new members four days before our first gig!!

We specialize in presenting nostalgic 90’s R&B and Pop music- feel good music. We’re proud of our ability to step out of our comfort zone, learn new skills in performing, and maintain a great down to earth energy with one another and our supporters. Our talent uniquely mixed with our authentic nature and musical genetics allow us to be set apart from others.
