Hi Letizia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
d planning events since I was a little girl. I’ve always had a vivid imagination and the ability to create something meaningful out of very little if necessary. Hospitality has always been part of my life, and there is a special kind of fulfillment that comes from knowing you helped create joy for someone else.
My journey into weddings truly began when I started working with Airbnb, transforming a private home into a wedding venue. At first, I simply rented the space and allowed brides to bring in their own vendors. One day, while checking out a bride after her wedding, I found her in tears — everything that could go wrong, did. That moment changed everything for me.
I realized couples needed more than a venue; they needed guidance, structure, and a team that truly cared. That’s when I created an all-inclusive wedding experience. I reached out to trusted vendors and built a passionate team focused on creating seamless, stress-free events.
I love to travel, and my work isn’t limited to one location. While Rose Creek Cottage 1900 is home base, I bring the same level of care and service wherever my couples are. For example, one bride planned to marry at the Cottage, but her mother became ill and couldn’t travel. Instead of canceling, we brought the wedding to her mother in Idaho — finding the location, organizing vendors, and making sure her day was just as special.
In another case, a Mormon bride was affected when the San Diego temple closed. She needed to move her celebration to Irvine but couldn’t find a venue. We located a rooftop terrace and transformed it into a wedding space, bringing in plants, arches, tables, and décor. It became an unforgettable event.
I am also an officiant, which is one of the greatest honors of my work. Every ceremony script is personalized, and I love bringing warmth, laughter, and authenticity to such meaningful moments.
We serve celebrations of all sizes — from intimate gatherings of five people to events of one hundred — always with the same passion. In 2018, I had the privilege of becoming the operator of Rose Creek Cottage 1900. My husband and I renovated the venue, adding brighter colors, new flooring, a designed bridal suite, a patio cover, and lush landscaping for photos.
What I love most about the venue is its history and sense of community. Beyond weddings, it hosts church services, classes, fundraisers, and events. We take pride in giving opportunities to people who need work and inspiring others to pursue their talents as vendors.
At the heart of everything I do is creativity, service, and helping people create memories that last forever.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road is never smooth — and if it were, how would we learn?
This work requires constant attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. There must always be a Plan B and a Plan C. One of the biggest challenges has been finding people who are driven by passion, not just money. I’ve been fortunate to build a team of vendors who share the same values and care deeply about our couples.
Are our events perfect? Nothing ever truly is — but our guests never know when something goes wrong, because our team shows up, adapts, and supports one another. That dedication makes all the difference.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Whatever path you choose, do it with passion. You cannot make everyone happy, but when you lead with integrity, connection, and purpose, you can make a difference.
I believe our talents are given to us for a reason — to serve others, to create beauty, and to leave moments behind that people will carry with them forever.
