Today we’d like to introduce you to Lucas Roelen.

Lucas Roelen

Hi Lucas, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The story of Unrelatable begins when Elijah Shepard got back from New York and proposed to Lucas that they should create short films. In the beginning, Lucas was unsure but wanted to produce comedy content in someway and propose Elijah that they do comedy bits on YouTube. Pretty quickly they both realized they needed help so they brought in Luca Anthony to help them produce the content and be a creative force. The rest has been history.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Although Unrelatable’s content is beyond exceptional, they’re definitely have been some bumps along the way. Whether it was figuring out how to shoot a skit or what lines to incorporate or which responsibilities to allocate. There’s always been a constant conversation on how to improve something that a healthy business needs. Every day we get better and closer to where we need to be.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We’re comedy production company that focuses on high-quality skits that are showcased on the internet. We most proud of our ability to come up with creative and unique concepts that thousands can enjoy. What sets us apart from others is our ability to think on our feet and constantly adapt to whatever challenges come our way no matter what they might be.

What are your plans for the future?
Our plans for the future is simply impact as many people as possible with our comedy as well as to show our audiences that if you have an idea, the only person who can make it happen is you. We plan on including aspects of our community into our productions in order to put San Diego on the map as the capital of film production.
