Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcel Ferrin.
Hi Marcel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I always had a fascination for the arts Which I wish I might have explored earlier as a child, but I was focused on sports. I do believe everything happens for a reason, however, and I got the courage to give acting a shot in 2018 when I went to Southwestern College and met Professor Ruff Yeager. From there my life took a change into fulfilling my passion. I was able to, fortunately, land my first professional play with Backyard Renaissance in 2019 and then the pandemic hit and halted my progress. But after things got better, I was able to resume acting at the end of 2021 and I think things are really blossoming for me, I feel I had my best year yet with acting this year in 2022. I’ve stayed busy all year and am booked for some shows next year. I’m very grateful and blessed, I believe in manifestation and high energy attracts other high vibrations.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The pandemic was definitely a struggle. Not only that but I felt I suffered with depression my whole life. Some days were rather dark for me, where I couldn’t find the will to even get out of bed. But through the dark comes the light. I finally realized that the universe works for me and not against me. Once you change your mindset
The world shifts around you for the better. But we all learn that on our own different times.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My proudest works have been working alongside Fran Gercke Richard Baird and Jessica John. Some terrific names in the industry. Working with the old globe this year was an amazing experience. I also for those who know me know I like to freestyle rap. I perform in a band with one of my best friends Jaden Guerrero who also does acting as well. It’s a hidden talent, I want say how good I am at it, but my friends can tell you that haha. I think what separates me from other people Is that I’m sincere honest and true to myself. I don’t want to be anyone other than me. I have a pretty unique background, my dad is Argentinian, and my mom is Venezuelan, and I just believe I am unique and different from other people.

Risk-taking is NECESSARY in life! You have only one shot at this thing we call life, that’s why I woke up one day and said you know what if this is it? I’m going to go after my dreams. I don’t care what happens; I’m going to go for it, and it’s paying off,
Your brain is sometimes your enemy and tries to tell you why not to go for things. Listen to your heart and you’ll realize there’s nothing that can stop you but your brain if you let it.
